A referee is set to take charge of a fixture involving Watford for the first time tomorrow when the Hornets travel to Stoke City aiming to continue their unbeaten start to the Championship season.
James Bell has been appointed to referee the match against Alex Neil’s side at the bet365 Stadium.
This is Bell’s fourth season on the National Group list and he made his debut in the Championship last year, taking charge of West Bromwich Albion’s 5-2 victory over Hull City in August, before going on to officiate in a further seven fixtures in the second tier in the 2022/23 campaign.
Bell has taken charge of two games this season, showing a total of seven yellow cards, and he is due to be assisted by Ian Cooper and George Byrne, with Keith Stroud on fourth official duties.
The Potters began their league season with a 4-1 home victory over Rotherham United, but were beaten 2-0 at Ipswich Town last weekend.
