A road’s abandoned bike display is back and decorated in support of the Lionesses World Cup charge.
After a bicycle was left locked to a Follett Drive road-sign in Abbots Langley, residents started decorating it for different occasions such as Christmas, Halloween, and the Platinum Jubilee.
The latest theme has tied-in with the FIFA Women’s World Cup and seen a mannequin sport an England shirt and wig.

Resident Alison Warner said: “We can’t believe how many people have taken notice of the bike. People will say to me they like the new thing despite living miles away.”
The footballing display was suggested by a resident, as with previous themes, before others got involved gathering decorations in support of the squad and the way the competition has boosted the profile of women’s football.
“Everybody I speak to has been watching, especially the young girls who have been hooked on it,” Alison added.
“Good luck to the Lionesses on Saturday. We hope that our bike will bring them luck.”
This morning, Luther Blissett visited Follett Drive and collected a cheque for £250 that had been raised for the Sunflower Social Club, which supports Ukrainian arrivals in Waford, during a street party.
