Striker Ashley Fletcher has linked up with former Watford head coach Xisco Munoz after joining Sheffield Wednesday on a season-long loan.
The forward becomes the third Hornets player to make a confirmed move away from Vicarage Road in the past 24 hours after Ismaila Sarr joined Marseille and Christian Kabasele made a permanent switch to Udinese.
It also continues a mass overhaul of the squad that has seen players including Craig Cathcart, Mario Gaspar, Domingos Quina and William Troost-Ekong exit along with last season’s loan signings.

The former Manchester United youngster has been on the Vicarage Road books for two seasons, but has been limited to just six appearances in which he’s scored twice.
He joined New York Red Bulls on loan in the second half of the 2021/22 campaign and last season scored twice in 26 league appearances during a temporary move to Wigan Athletic.
