Fans are set to get the first chance to see Watford in action under new head coach Valerien Ismael at Boreham Wood.
The Hornets have also confirmed a second pre-season friendly against another Hertfordshire side, newly-promoted League One side Stevenage, as preparations for the new Championship campaign intensify.
The Watford players are due to return to training on Monday, June 19, with the opening friendly against Boreham Wood at Meadow Park on Wednesday, July 5, kicking off at 7.30pm.
Supporters will also be able to attend the trip to the Lamex Stadium on Tuesday, July 18, with kick-off at 7.45pm.
Watford have stated several training ground friendlies will also be played in July, while a “possible” home fixture may take place on Saturday, July 29, a week before the new Championship season gets under way.
Tickets for the Boreham Wood friendly are now on sale and will cost £15 for adults and OAPs, £10 for Under-18s, £5 for Under-12s and £2 for Under-5s.
