New information has been issued for fans who will be at Vicarage Road stadium for tomorrow’s clash with rivals Luton.
A large police presence is expected as Watford host Luton in the Championship at midday.
Watford FC says it has worked closely with Hertfordshire Constabulary ahead of tomorrow’s fixture and drawn up a plan to minimise the risk of any crowd disorder.
The club has confirmed Vicarage Road will be shut to traffic as usual on matchdays – tomorrow it will be from 9am.
There will also be normal pedestrian access to the stadium.
However, after the game, which is due to finish at around 1.50pm, fans are being asked to follow allocated routes away from the stadium in order to separate home and away supporters.
Watford fans seated in the Sir Elton John or Rookery stands will be led away from the ground via Occupation Road, Cardiff Road, and then Wiggenhall Road, where fans will be able to walk up to Vicarage Road where it meets Farraline Road.
Supporters in the Graham Taylor or Family stands will be led onto Vicarage Road in the direction of the hospital.
Fans in these stands who want the town centre should use Harwoods Road and Whippendell Road.
Luton fans will be led straight down Vicarage Road towards the town centre.
The club has confirmed restrictions on how fans can leave the ground will be lifted once Vicarage Road has fully reopened.
Home supporters who do not want to use the allocated route away from the stadium are asked to stay inside the ground for around 10 minutes after the final whistle and wait for an announcement on the tannoy system that Vicarage Road is back open.
Watford FC has also confirmed its club shops at the stadium and at atria Watford shopping centre will be shut on Sunday.
Fencing has also been put up to protect the Graham Taylor statue from any possible vandalism.
Some pubs in Watford have taken the decision to stay closed on Sunday over fears of trouble.

In the past, Watford and Luton fans have clashed and this is the first time the sides will meet with fans since 2006.
Ahead of the game, Chief Superintendent Nick Caveney, said: “The game between the two clubs is something to be celebrated and we have been working with both clubs to plan ahead of the fixture.
“We have a clear message for those coming to Sunday’s game.
“If, as the majority will be, you are attending to enjoy the game and the experience of a competitive derby match then you are welcome with open arms and we hope you have a great time.
“However, the rivalry is not an excuse for disorder or anti-social behaviour and this will not be tolerated, therefore we will be on hand to prevent trouble.
“A significant policing presence, more than is usually seen at matches at Vicarage Road, will be in the area due to the derby and our main aim is to promote public safety.
“At the end of the game measures will be in place to ensure both sets of fans are able to leave the stadium in a more structured manner.
“We want everyone who comes to enjoy the game in a safe environment.”
