Former Watford Academy player Maurizio Pochettino has joined Spanish club Gimnastic de Tarragona.
The 21-year-old winger, who was released by the Hornets at the end of last season, has signed a one-year contract with the Spanish third tier club, with the option of a further two years.
The son of former Tottenham and Paris St Germain manager Mauricio, Pochettino made one senior appearance for the Hornets when he came on as a late substitute in the 2-0 defeat at Brentford at the end of the Hornets’ 2020/21 Championship campaign.
Born in Barcelona, Pochettino was in the Southampton and Spurs youth ranks when his father was manager, but was released by Tottenham in 2021.
