Facilities to help budding skateboarders hone their skills at ‘one of the best skateparks in the UK’ will soon be even better.
Oxhey Activity Park, which has won landscape and sports awards for its skatepark, will soon have a storage hub facility.
The hub will be the focal point of the park and improve awareness and access for the many sessions the ABC Skateboarding team run, for all ages and abilities, to help people become more skilled riders.

The facility will offer support for all abilities including helping riders understand how to repair and take care of their equipment.
Elected Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said: “The council plan commits to delivering a ‘happy and healthy town’ and the recent development of Oxhey Activity Park are in line with these aspirations.
“The park provides facilities that bring together a range of activities that cater for all; ages and skill levels, all with improved all-ability access, integrated walking, jogging and cycling routes, which is also supported by a community café and toilet facilities.”
The new building is funded by Watford Borough Council, Sport England, British Cycling and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
