The Argentina football team have been filmed arriving at a hotel in Watford.
Stars including Lionel Messi were greeted by cheering crowds as they entered The Grove hotel ahead of tomorrow’s (June 1) game against Italy at Wembley Stadium.
Videos posted on social media showed PSG forward and record seven-time Ballon d’Or winner Messi leaving the coach with other members of the squad earlier this afternoon (May 31).

He was filmed waving to Argentinian fans who had gathered and were chanting and singing his name.

The luxury five-star hotel in Chandler’s Cross, on the outskirts of Watford, is a favourite for sports teams playing in London, while Watford’s squad stay there ahead of fixtures at Vicarage Road.
Argentina are facing Italy at in the Conmebol-UEFA Cup of Champions, which matches up the recent winners of the Copa America and Euro 2020.
The match kicks off at 7.45pm on June 1 and tickets for the showdown at the 90,000 capacity Wembley stadium have been sold out since the match was announced at the end of last year.
Ahead of the game, Argentina are due to train at Watford’s London Colney training ground.
