Watford edged further away from the bottom of the FA Women's Championship with a 0-0 draw against Blackburn.
The first half was filled with plenty of excitement despite the lack of goals as both sides had clear cut opportunities to take the lead in the first 45 minutes.
But the game died down in the second half, with fewer chances as both sides defended resolutely to escape the contest with a clean sheet and a point apiece.
The result sees Watford remain in 11th but they continue to extend the gap to bottom side Coventry United while Blackburn are just one place and four points ahead of them in the table.
Hannah Coan looked lively from the outset and fired a header from inside the box just wide of Georgie Ferguson's goal after a Rovers corner kick in the first two minutes.
Another corner from Natasha Fenton caused chaos in the Watford box, glancing past several Rovers players before eventually being cleared to safety.
And Fenton showed her prowess in defence as well, blocking Morgan Rogers' goal-bound shot before it had a chance to test Eleanor Heeps.
Heeps eventually was tested after 30 minutes by a shot from Florence Fyfe, who could have done better from such close range.
Annabel Blanchard then slipped a great pass through to Megan Hornby inside the box, who attempted to place her shot past the goalkeeper, but Ferguson was quick off her line to make a fantastic save.
After the break, Fenton put a few more great deliveries into the box, but each time Rovers seemed incapable of getting someone on the end of it.
The best chance of the game fell to Blanchard with just under 20 minutes remaining, but her long-range shot rebounded against the cross-bar, and the scores remained level to send each side home with a point.
