Watford have signed former Southampton full-back James Morris on a one-year contract with the option of another year.
The player impressed while on trial after replacing Adam Masina in the 0-0 draw with West Bromwich Albion, before getting further chances in friendlies against Stevenage and Arsenal.
Initially, the 19-year-old is likely to play for the under 23s but could get his chance as back up for Masina and Danny Rose.
He can also play on the right side of defence, where Jeremy Ngakia is expected to start as first choice, although Kiko Femenia is pushing to return in time for the start of the season.
Of the trialists to have played during pre-season, Morris is the only one to have been offered a contract as of yet.
Decisions are still being made on the future of players like Samuel Okoye-Ahaneku, who has also been given first team chances during pre-season.
