Rennes defender Brandon Soppy is being targeted by the Pozzos and could end up at either Watford or Udinese.
As reported by transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano on Friday's episode of the Wobcast the full-back has been identified by the Pozzo family's scouting system as someone who has huge potential.
The player is currently only 19-years-old and would possibly have big resale opportunities in the future, fitting comfortably within the Pozzo transfer blueprint.
With the family's scouting system recommending players to both the Hornets and the Pozzos' Italian club Udinese, there is still some question over which side he would be best suited to, although given that Kiko Femenia and Jeremy Ngakia are both still at Vicarage Road, chances might be limited for him in Hertfordshire.
Unconfirmed reports in L'Equipe claim that an "insufficient" bid has been rejected and that the French side want a fee of around €5million to secure his transfer.
