The agent of Turkish midfielder Okay Yokuslu was at Watford's training ground yesterday for a meeting with sporting director Cristiano Giaretta.

Club sources have confirmed that the pair met at the training ground and it is understood that they are old friends.

While the meeting has simply been described as the two "having a coffee" it has fuelled further speculation, with Yokuslu linked heavily with a move to Vicarage Road this summer.

The topic of discussion from yesterday's meeting has not been disclosed, but the player is understood to be on a list of potential targets for the current transfer window.

Furthermore, midfield is an area Watford would like to invest in further during the transfer window if possible, particularly with the futures of important first team players like Will Hughes and Nathaniel Chalobah still uncertain.

Reports in Turkey claim that the Celta Vigo man is in talks with the Hornets over a potential move, while Spanish reports suggest that Watford is the club he wants to join this summer.

The 27-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with West Bromwich Albion, who are reportedly keen for the player to return.

However, Premier League football is believed to be his preference.

Yokuslu is primarily a defensive midfielder, but can also play in defence as well.
