Ken Sema says he feels good to be back in England and playing for Watford again after travelling to Euro 2020 with Sweden this summer.
The winger scored the equaliser for the Hornets as they came from behind to earn a draw against League Two outfit Stevenage and was pleased to get off the mark in his first game back.
"It's the first game here and I feel good," said Sema at full time.
"It was nice to be here again, in England, and and to be able to play with some fans. It's good to hear them sing your name and to score a goal obviously.
"It was a good goal I think, with the header, so it feels good."
With a number of new arrivals and youth team players involved in the game, the Swede knows it could take a little while yet for the team to gel, but he believes they will be ready come the beginning of the season.
"Soon it will be it will be [ready]," he said.
"Now it's a pre-season game and we need to get the minutes in the tank. We need to play games and soon we'll be ready.
"There's a lot of new guys out there, they're new in the team, some of them are a little bit younger as well.
"But it felt good. It felt like it's still a pre-season game, so it takes a little bit of time in shaping the team and everything, and to coach the new players. But it was alright to be fair."
Sema now sees himself as one of the more experienced members of the team and was happy to share his knowledge with the younger players involved in the game, including academy players and trialists.
In particular, Sema was seen talking to trialist Samuel Okoye-Ahaneku, who played at right back for the majority of the match at the Lamex.
"I'm a little bit more experienced and I've been around here now for some years and I've been in the national team as well so I'm an experienced player," he said.
"I just spoke to [Okoye-Ahaneku] a little bit like about how he's playing. I thought he is a really good player, still young, but we could see that he has skill and is strong and fast and so I just spoke a little bit to him and maybe gave him some little tips."
