Watford youngster Tiago Cukur has joined Doncaster Rovers on loan for the upcoming season.
The Turkish teenager arrived in January after his contract with AZ Alkmaar had expired.
He went on to impress with the Under 18s, scoring three goals in two FA Youth Cup matches.
The 18-year-old striker was called up to the Turkish Under 21 side this summer and played 45 minutes of a 1-1 draw against Ukraine in June.
The Hornets have the option of recalling the player in January 2022 should they wish to.
Speaking to the Rovers website he said he had enjoyed training with the Watford first team, but that he simply felt it was time for him to get the chance to play some games.
“It’s been a good couple of months with Watford and I’ve been training a bit with the first team but I think it’s the right time to play men’s football,” he said.
“I’m absolutely buzzing to be here and I can't wait to start meeting all the players. I feel like it’s going to be a good season.”
