Watford completed a pre-season double over Colchester United yesterday afternoon, beating them in two behind-closed-doors friendlies.
The matches, held at the Hornets' London Colney training facility, lasted an hour each and saw two different Watford teams win 2-1 and 2-0 respectively.
Ismaila Sarr and new signing Dapo Mebude scored in game one, meaning Alan Judge's strike for the visitors, managed by former Watford coach Hayden Mullins, was inconsequential.
Game two was won with goals from Dan Gosling and Cucho Hernandez.
The matches were the last of Watford's pre-season matches without supporters, with West Bromwich Albion's visit to Vicarage Road next weekend to be played in front of fans following the lifting of restrictions.
The Hornets also beat Millwall at the training ground last week.
