Goals from Raheem Sterling and Harry Kane sent Wembley – and much of the country – into joyous celebrations on Tuesday with a famous 2-0 victory over Germany to set up a quarter-final clash with Ukraine.
If the national side triumph in Rome, they will return to Wembley on Wednesday with either Czech Republic or Denmark standing in their way of a first major final appearance since winning the 1966 World Cup.
