Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann got his Euro 2020 campaign off to a winning start yesterday as Austria beat North Macedonia 3-1.
The Hornets' shot-stopper had a nervy moment that led to Goran Pandev's equaliser, when he spilled a loose ball to the feet of the veteran striker.
Bachmann made amends for his error later on in the game by diving at the feet of Boban Nikolov to deny the wing-back after an Eljif Elmas pass carved the Austria defence open.
Michael Gregoritsch and Marko Arnautovic then put the game beyond the tournament debutants with two goals in the final 12 minutes.
Bachmann's Watford teammate Ken Sema could get his first taste of Euro 2020 football tonight as Sweden take on Spain at 8pm.
Elsewhere, Francisco Sierralta could also be involved in tournament football tonight, with Chile taking on Argentina in the Copa America in Brazil at 10pm.
