Watford are in talks with Chelsea over the signing of Ike Ugbo, the Watford Observer understands.
Reports emerged regarding a potential move for the young striker earlier this week and have since been confirmed by sources close to the player.
Ugbo has impressed while on loan at Cercle Brugge this season, scoring 16 goals from 32 games and attracting a lot of interest from across Europe.
CSKA Moscow are also understood to be interested in signing the 22-year-old, as are Monaco.
A fee of around £5million has been discussed, but not yet agreed, with further discussions expected to take place again soon.
This season is not the first time Ugbo has impressed during a loan spell, with the youngster scoring 13 goals in 29 appearances for Dutch side Roda JC Kerkrade in the 2019/20 campaign.
He also scored five goals in 15 England Under 17 appearances and two goals in five games for the Under 20s.
