Watford captain Troy Deeney has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, who are reportedly looking for cover for striker Harry Kane.
Young attacker Troy Parrott has been allowed to join Millwall on loan and the Mail claim that Spurs have already spoken to the Hornets skipper about an initial loan switch.
The 32-year-old's contract is due to expire next summer, so would be free to join on a permanent basis after that should the loan be successful.
Deeney's future with Watford remains uncertain after an interview he gave following the club's relegation to the Championship in which he said he was not sure whether or not he would play for the club again.
Watford meanwhile are close to signing former West Ham defender Jeremy Ngakia.
