Watford Ladies have had their season declared null and void by the football association after it was suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Women's National League South 2019/20 season has officially been ended prematurely by the FA, who stated that their "primary concern will always be for the safety and welfare of clubs, players, staff, officials, volunteers and supporters during this unprecedented time."
Watford chief executive Scott Duxbury supported the decision and said the club welcomed the certainty it provided.
"Certainty is welcomed at a time when there is little around for obvious reasons," he said on the club website.
"This decision provides the opportunity to look to next season and ensure that thoughtful and appropriate planning can take place in the coming weeks."
