Shannon Courtenay's upcoming fight is among the latest sporting events to have been suspended due to the coronavirus outbreak, with Matchroom Boxing pushing back a number of their bills.
The Abbots Langley boxer was due to fight on the undercard of the Terri Harper versus Natasha Jonas fight on April 24 at the Doncaster Dome.
However that has now had to be postponed, with the government recommending everyone avoid mass gatherings.
Following the announcement, Courtenay expressed her disappointment via social media.
She tweeted: "Due to everything that’s going on my fight has been postponed to June where your tickets will still be valid for then! I’m absolutely gutted but this is out of our hands! But for now everyone stay safe and stay positive in these testing times.
"So gutted to not be fighting but Its times like this I realise how lucky & blessed I am to have such amazing & loyal sponsors on board!
@DixonfloorLtd @AlsfordTimber @ToureenGroup & FMS recovery! Without them times like this would be very difficult for me so I’m very grateful."
