Out on loan Watford striker Luis Suarez has said he is ready to make the step up to top tier football after his impressive performances with Real Zaragoza this season.
The Colombian scored his 15th goal in his 27th appearance for the Segunda Division club on Saturday evening and told the Watford Observer it is now up to Watford whether or not they want to use him.
Since he arrived at Vicarage Road in 2017, he has spent time on loan with Real Valladolid, Gimnastic and now Zaragoza.
He has two years remaining on his contract with the Hornets and thinks it is now time for him to be given his chance at the highest level.
"Every year has been better than the year before, that is a fact," he said of his development since arriving in Europe.
"So in that way I am very happy and I can see that I am improving and developing my game, I can also see I have more room for improvement so hopefully there will be more steps up to take in the upcoming years.
"I have two more seasons contracted with Watford, it is up to them, I certainly feel prepared to play in one of the top leagues in Europe after this season. Premier League, La Liga, Serie A or Bundesliga, I am confident I am ready for that move in the summer."
Suarez explained that Watford are still in contact with him on a regular basis and have someone frequently assessing his performances.
He also claims the initial decision to join the Hornets was an easy one for him, but for now he is focused on getting Zaragoza into the Spanish top flight.
"When a Premier League club comes and gives you the opportunity to leave South America and move to Europe then there is little to think about," he said.
"There is one person from Watford who keeps in touch, not only with me but with others that are on loan here in Spain. He comes to see me play once a month and calls me and texts me sometimes as well.
"This season is very positive, I love the club, the city, the fans and everyone is treating me well. I really hope I can help this club and my teammates to get the promotion to La Liga. This city and these fans definitely deserve it and I would love to be part of such success. If my goals help us to get the promotion then it would be a perfect season."
