Watford have seen a move for Burnley defender Ben Gibson turned down, according to reports.
Both Sky Sports and Mail Online are reporting the Hornets offered to sign the 27-year-old on loan for the remainder of the season with an option to make the switch permanent in the summer.
However, the Clarets are said to be reluctant to let the centre half move on without having a replacement lined up beforehand.
Gibson, who moved to Turf Moor in a club record £15million deal from Middlesbrough 18 months ago, has made just one appearance in the League Cup for Sean Dyche’s side this season.
