Craig Dawson has hailed Watford's team spirit after they scrapped to pick up a point against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
The Hornets could have won the game when they were awarded a penalty late on, but Paolo Gazzaniga denied Troy Deeney and they had to settle for the draw.
Nevertheless, Dawson sees it as a point gained rather than two lost and said the Hornets showed a real togetherness in their performance.
"It's definitely another point," he said.
"Obviously Spurs are a great side and everybody worked very hard today to battle through the performance and it's a great clean sheet and we take the point and move onto the next one.
"I think it's the team spirit, everyone's working hard for each other, everyone's got each other's back and it's great to be involved and I think there's a competitiveness now for places which is good so everyone's working extremely hard."
With Dawson retaining his place after Christian Kabasele's suspension, he knows he has to continue putting in performances like the one against Spurs in order to keep his spot.
However, the defender knows it is a team effort that has turned things around so drastically at Vicarage Road.
"I was obviously in the team until I got that nasty cut, so it's great," he said.
"There's competition all over the pitch now which is good. Everyone's keeping their shirt at the minute so we just need to keep our little run going.
"You can see the spirit in the team now, it's a great team spirit. Even the lads who came off the bench really put a shift in towards the end and it's great to see the squad working hard."
