Watford goalkeeper Ben Foster has been widely praised on social media after a story emerged of him helping an elderly dementia sufferer.
According to a post on Twitter, Foster came to the aid of the man, who was a Hornets' season ticket holder, who decided to walk the ten miles home after the Crystal Palace match last month when his car would not work.
The 80-year-old, who suffers from dementia, reportedly fell into a ditch by a dual carriageway where Foster found him, picked him up and took him home to clean him up.
The shot-stopper is then believed to have invited the man round for Christmas and also offered to pay for his season ticket for next year.
