Christian Kabasele says he still had “big pain” following the injury he sustained in last night’s 2-1 defeat to Chelsea.
The Hornets centre-half collided with a goal post early in the game when Willian hit the side netting from a tight angle after rounding Ben Foster. After receiving treatment the Belgian international tried to continue, but quickly had to concede defeat and was replaced by Adrian Mariappa.
However, the situation became more concerning later in the first half when Kabasele was taken to hospital after being stretchered from the players’ tunnel wearing an oxygen mask.
The 27-year-old has posted the following tweet:
Good morning everybody .Hopefully nothing broken but still have big pain🤕 Great gesture of the goal post who visited me at hospital 🤭 Thank you for your messages I hope to be back as soon as possible 🐝 #watfordfc

Javi Gracia was asked about the injury following the game but he was unable to provide an update.
