Watford have reportedly completed a deal to sign Fluminense youngster Joao Pedro in a move which will see the forward arrive in England in January 2020.
The 17-year-old is said to have passed a medical with the Vicarage Road club and it is expected that the finishing touches to his transfer will be completed in the next few days.
No transfer fee has been disclosed for Pedro, who is one of Brazilian club Fluminense’s most promising youth products, but the final figure is likely to include a number of performance related bonuses.
He led the club’s under-17 scoring charts last season, notching 25 goals to be the most productive goalscorer in his age group across Brazil.
Watford’s previous dealings with Fluminense saw them bring Richarlison to the club in the summer of 2017 for £11.2 million – a fee they made a considerable profit on when Everton paid £44m to sign the forward a year later.
