Younes Kaboul has been left out of Watford’s 25-man Premier League squad for the first half of the 2018/19 season.
The centre-back’s omission comes in the wake of an injury-plagued year at the club, which saw him play just twice last season and last feature in September 2017.
Kaboul, 32, is the only major absentee in the Watford squad and the club has also listed Adalberto Penaranda among players under the age of 21 who do not need to be named in the 25-man squad.
His inclusion comes despite the Hornets still needing to acquire a work permit before the Venezuelan can play.
