Harvey Bradbury has left Watford on a free transfer to complete a move to Oxford United, the League One side has confirmed.
The striker, who is the son of former Manchester City and Oxford man Lee Bradbury, will play for United’s Under-23 side.
Bradbury spent three years at Watford after joining the club from Portsmouth in 2015 and featured at various youth levels including for Hayden Mullins’ Under-23s.
He spent loan spells at St Albans City and most recently Hungerford Town, where he impressed against the U’s in a pre-season clash.
The hope is that Bradbury will return to Hungerford on loan while continuing to train with Oxford during the 2018/19 season.
Having completed his move, Bradbury is looking forward to following in the footsteps of his dad by representing the U’s.
He told the Oxford website: “I watched my dad play at Oxford when I was really small and he has told me plenty of times what a good club it is.
“I am a different sort of player to him, although we are both forwards, but the aim has to be to come here, train hard, score goals and hopefully get my chance with the first team.”
