Dimitri Foulquier has become Watford's ninth signing of the summer, with the France Under-21 right-back joining the club from Granada.
The 24-year-old has been a regular with the Spanish club for just over three years, having signed for €2 million from Rennes in 2014.
He is a former winner of the Under-20 World Cup with France, and has 13 caps for the Under-21s, the last won the same year he swapped his home country for La Liga.
Foulquier played 22 times for Granada in the Spanish top flight last season, a campaign ended in relegation for the former Pozzo-owned club.
He will offer competition to Daryl Janmaat and Kiko Femenia at right-back, with head coach Marco Silva strongly hinting the latter was not an ideal back-up after Tuesday night's defeat to Bristol City.
