Walter Mazzarri is hoping champions Chelsea are distracted by their success when Watford visit Stamford Bridge tomorrow night.
The newly crowned Premier League winners sealed the title with a 1-0 win at West Bromwich Albion on Friday night, but have led the way for much of the season.
The last time they won the league, in 2014/15, the Blues picked up only a single point from their next two games.
Antonio Conte's side have dropped points at Stamford Bridge just once since September, and Mazzarri is aware of the difficulties the Hornets will face in west London tomorrow.
He said: "Everton had reached their objective, and look how they played against us. The nice thing in England is teams never give up until it’s finished - but strong teams like Chelsea might relax a little bit.
"Congratulations to Chelsea. They’ve had a great season and deserve it, they were better than everyone else in the Premier League."
Mazzarri was tight-lipped on the prospect of seeing players like Craig Cathcart and Miguel Britos returning against the champions, after Christian Kabasele became the latest Watford player to leave the pitch injured during Friday's defeat at Everton.
He said: "I would like all of them back, but instead of returning I keep losing players. We will count how many players we’ve got and then see.
"We have to play as we did today at Chelsea. Of course, these players are giving me a lot of satisfaction - they are giving everything and trying their best. Hopefully we will get back some injured players."
The Hornets will go into tomorrow night's game knowing their Premier League status is mathematically assured after Crystal Palace beat Hull City 4-0 this afternoon to ensure the Tigers will join Middlesbrough and Sunderland in the Championship next season.
