Watford's on-loan midfield maestro Tom Cleverley is a game away from triggering a clause in his deal to sign permanently for the Hornets this summer, the Watford Observer understands.
Cleverley made his eighth appearance for the Golden Boys in this afternoon's game at Crystal Palace, and should he make a ninth before the end of the campaign, his transfer will automatically be made permanent.
Given the Basingstoke-born midfielder has started each of their last seven games, his move looks likely to be sealed when Watford host Sunderland on April 1.
Since his arrival for a second loan spell at Vicarage Road, Cleverley has made two assists and created 13 chances in 554 minutes of football, according to Opta.
