Watford are close to signing Napoli wing-back Juan Camilo Zuniga according to reports in Italy.
The Hornets have been linked with a move for the Colombia international throughout this summer.
New Watford head coach Walter Mazzarri spent four years working with Zuniga at Napoli and appears to have identified him as one of his transfer targets.
Mazzarri is renowned for playing wing backs in a 3-5-2 system and versatile right-back Zuniga would be able to comfortably slot into this role if he moves to Vicarage Road.
The 30-year-old is contracted for another season at the Serie A club but a fee of less than €1m could be enough to secure a deal with the Premier League side.
The Hornets have made three signings this summer after bringing in forwards Isaac Success, Jerome Sinclair and Belgian defender Christian Kabasele.
Watford's players returned for pre-season training this morning and Mazzarri is still expected to add to his squad in the coming weeks.
