Quique Sanchez Flores says Watford’s squad players will be given the chance to impress over the Christmas period as it is “impossible” to continuously name the same side.
The Hornets take on Liverpool on Sunday and have a five days to recover for their Boxing Day clash at Chelsea, who this afternoon sacked boss Jose Mourinho.
Less than 48 hours after full time at Stamford Bridge Watford will take on Tottenham Hotspur at Vicarage Road before facing Manchester City on January 2.
It is a punishing schedule and one Flores has never experienced before.
He accepts changes will have to be made to his side - especially against Tottenham - but stresses the likes of Victor Ibarbo, Alessandro Diamanti and Jose Holebas, who have only made nine appearances between them this season, are ready to play if called upon.
“This is the first time I will ever manage in this type of situation,” Flores said.
“The recovery of the players is going to be very important in the next two weeks. But I have a squad and I would like everyone to play.
“The team has been working very well this season and that has meant it hasn’t been easy to make many changes to the team.
“Players like Ibarbo, Diamanti and Holebas are in the squad dynamic and they are ready.
"They have had to wait a little bit longer to get on the pitch but when they get their chance they will show everyone that they’ve been working very hard.
“It is impossible for every player to play all the minutes in the next four games. Between Chelsea and Tottenham there will be no time for the players to recover, we have only one day.
“So of course other players will appear in the starting XI and I am happy with that situation.”
