AIDY BOOTHROYD said he was "disappointed to come away with nothing" following Watford's penultimate away game of the Premiership season.
"We knew it was going to be difficult but we stood up and had a right good go at it," said Boothroyd on the 1-0 defeat at Bramall Lane.
"Paddy Kenny was probably the busier of the two keepers but we conceded a ridiculous goal and that's disappointing.
He added: "There are so many pluses to take from the peformance. I was delighted with Lee Williamson - I thought he was terrific and I thought Marlon was back to somewhere near where he was."
Boothroyd was also thankful that referee Martin Atkinson got the wrong man when he cautioned Dan Shittu instead of Clarkle Carlisle, who had already been booked, for a foul on Jon Stead.
"Clarke is not a vindictive type and he's told me he's put his arm up to start sprinting and it's one of those innocuous ones," said the Watford boss.
"On another day he might have gone so we might have been let off the hook there."
