ARSENAL LADIES FC will again be without Kelly Smith, their star player, on Sunday as they look to become the first British club to win the Women's UEFA Cup.
Suspended for two matches after being sent off in the semi-final win over Brondby and making a gesture to the crowd, Smith missed the 1-0 first leg win over UMEA in Sweden on Saturday.
The Watford-born England star will be a frustrated spectator on the sidelines for the second leg at Boreham Wood FC as Vik Akers' side look to defended their slender advantage given to them by Alex Scott.
Missing the final is rough on Smith who has seen her career blighted by injury. It is also denies the 28-year-old, who many view as the best female player on the planet, the chance to go head to head with Marta Vieira da Silva, the FIFA World Player of the Year.
