SARACENS have pulled off a major coup by securing the services of Chris Jack, the New Zealand lock.
The 28-year-old has put pen to paper on a lucrative two-and-a-half year deal and will join the Men in Black after the Rugby World Cup.
Jack has played for Super 14 side Canterbury Crusaders since 1999, has 57 New Zealand caps and will arrive at Saracens at the peak of his powers.
"Heading over to England will give us the opportunity to experience something different, both in a rugby sense, but also in lifestyle," said Jack.
Saracens director of rugby Alan Gaffney was delighted to pull off one of the biggest signings since the game turned professional.
"We have signed a world-class player in the prime of his career," said Gaffney.
"Chris is one of the best players in his position in the world and is an integral part of the All Blacks side which has led the way in world rugby in recent seasons.
"He is an outstanding player."
