AIDY BOOTHROYD had a ringside seat at Old Trafford last night as Manchester United destroyed AS Roma in the quarter-final second leg of the UEFA Champions League.
The Watford boss was at the Theatre of Dreams to run the rule over Saturday's FA Cup semi-final opponents, and he must have left the ground stratching his head, wondering how his side have any chance of stopping the rampant Red Devils.
Michael Carrick and Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice while Wayne Rooney, Alan Smith, Patrice Evra got the others as United produced one of the greatest European performances of all time.
In attempting to pull off what would be one of the biggest shocks in the history of the FA Cup, Watford will be without Ben Foster at Villa Park while Boothroyd must decide whether Dan Shittu or Clarke Carlisle will partner Jay DeMerit in defence and if Darius Henderson or Tamas Priskin will lead the line.
