AIDY BOOTHORYD refused to pull any punches in the post-match press conference, describing his team's display at the Riverside as "extremely poor".
And the manager also revealed that Darius Henderson and Gavin Mahon were both substituted for tactical reasons and not because the pair were injured.
"We were lacklustre and absolutely nowhere near it, particularly in the first half," raged the Watford boss. "I'm very disappointed with that. Middlesbrough won't believe they were in a game today and I can't accept that. We did not have the right attitude today, for whatever reason.
"I'll go through the game tomorrow, second by second. I'll get to the bottom of it and make sure we sort it out."
