BEN FOSTER could have been forgiven for having an attack of déjà vu last night (Wednesday) after his England debut ended with a 1-0 friendly defeat against Spain at Old Trafford.
The on-loan keeper, who has been on the receiving end of all too many narrow defeats for Watford this season, was powerless to stop Andreas Iniesta arrowing a superb shot past him for the winner in the 63rd minute.
The Manchester United keeper was one of the few players to emerge from another disappointing performance by Steve McClaren's men. The 23-year-old's kicking and handling was generally sound and, although he had only one real save to make, he did well to parry away a vicious David Villa drive that swerved back towards him.
