Adlene Guedioura scored twice in Watford’s 4-2 victory against Cardiff City but was he the Hornets' man of the match against the Bluebirds?
The Algerian international, whose loan from Crystal Palace ends on January 1, netted Watford’s equaliser before he fired home an unstoppable goal to put the Golden Boys 3-1 ahead in the second period.
Odion Ighalo was named in the starting XI for the first time since November 22 and he produced an impressive display.
He led the Hornets attack stoutly and headed the visitors in front in the dying moments of the first half. He should have scored a second but was denied by David Marshall late into the game.
Tommie Hoban also returned to the side and the young defender was almost faultless. He defended well and didn’t try to over elaborate with the ball.
Craig Cathcart continued his good form with yet another assured display on the right of Watford’s back three. He did the basics well and was rarely caught out of position.
