Police investigating a theft at a restaurant have released CCTV images of people they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

A man and a woman ate together at the Windmill Harvester restaurant in High Road, Bushey Heath, before leaving without making any attempt to pay.

They got into a vehicle parked outside and drove off. Shortly afterwards, a second group, who were sitting at another table in the restaurant also left without making any attempt to pay.

It is believed they arrived separately to the first couple and were unconnected with them.

They left the restaurant and made off. The incidents occurred between 3.30pm and 4.20pm on Thursday, July 5.

PC Gerard Hansdcombe, from the Bushey Heath Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "We have released CCTV images of people that we would like to speak to. It may be that they witnessed the incident or can help us with our inquiries.

"I’d urge anyone who recognises these people to get in touch as soon as possible."

Anyone with information about the incident should contact police on the non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference J2/12/844 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
