The only outdoor swimming pool in Rickmansworth has been given £1,000 to help keep it open during the summer holidays.
Money raised by parents to pay for staff and cleaning at the pool in St John’s Primary School during the summer break had to be used to buy a new pump and filter.
However, thanks to a £1,000 donation from Watford Nissan dealership Glyn Hopkin, the pool in Berry Lane can now stay open during the summer holidays.
