A demonstration of in-season fish and how to cook it was held in the Rickmansworth Aquadrome on Tuesday.

A two hour discussion and demonstration in The Café in the Park took place between 6pm and 8pm.

The evening was put on in conjunction with local fishmongers Rock and Sole to promote healthy eating, better knowledge of fish and a chance to socialise.

Carly Trisk-Grove, cafe manager, said: "The evening was a great success. There was a demonstration on how to cook tilapia and dover sole.

"We learnt about the big five in the UK, tuna, salmon, prawns, cod and haddock and how we should be more adventurous.

"Each dish was quick, easy and delicious and I know what we all came away thinking that we must, should and will be eating fish more often."

Tom Laddenheim, five-years-old very quickly became adept at preparing fresh crabs by snapping off the claws.

The next event will take place in August.
