A road was closed off in Oxhey following a serious crash involving two cars and a motorbike.

The male driver the motorcycle was taken to hospital following the accident in Hampermill Lane, near the junction with Hillcroft Crescent, at around 6pm yesterday evening.

The injuries were said to not be life threatening.

Hampermill Lane was closed as emergency services worked on the Audi A3, Ford KA and Suzuki G600 while traffic was diverted down Oaklands Avenue and Hillcroft Crescent.

The road was reopened around 7.30pm.

Police said they think there may have been another vehicle involved in the crash and are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on its non-emergency 101 telephone number.
