Police have released an e-fit after a teenager was threatened and robbed of his mobile phone in Oxhey.

Officers said the incident happened when the victim, a 16-year-old boy, was walking along Green Lane at around 5.30pm on Monday May 21.

When he passed the junction with Beaulieu Close he saw a silver Volkswagen parked up with a white male driving and a black male in the passenger seat.

Police said as the car passed the passenger whistled and shouted at the teenager, who kept on walking.

The passenger then got out of the car and followed him up Green Lane.

The teenager was grabbed and threatened before handing over his mobile phone.

The suspects then made off in the car along Prestwick Road.

The suspect is described as around 20-years-old, of a medium build with a shaved head. His skin was slightly lighter than shown in the e-fit.

Detective Constable Steve Mason is investigating and said: “I appreciate some time has passed since the incident but I would ask people to look closely at the e-fit to see if they recognise this man. "If you have any information whatsoever on the identity please contact police or Crimestoppers anonymously.”

Anyone with information about the incident should contact DC Mason via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101 quoting crime reference number C3/12/556.
