Firefighters were called to the Royal Masonic School for Girls in Rickmansworth Park this morning after a small fire started in an area currently being redecorated.
Crews from Rickmansworth and Watford were called to the elite school, where boarding can cost more than £8,000 per term, although Watford were stood down en-route.
The fire is understood to have damaged a window frame in an area of the school that was being redecorated.
Nobody was injured in the fire and the summer holidays began several weeks ago for pupils.
