A storage company is inviting Watford residents to raise cash for a good cause by taking part in a new charity fun run.
Kelly’s Self-Storage, which is based in Guildford, is starting up the fundraiser in Bricket Wood to collect money for ReachOut Plus, a charity that runs a variety of projects for people living with disabilities or from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Fundraisers can attempt a five or ten kilometre run around Munden House on Sunday, June 24.
Moira Martin, director of Kelly's Self Storage, said: "We are excited about bringing another of our hugely successful events to Hertfordshire.
"As we have a thriving self storage centre located in St Albans we want to do something for the community we serve.
"We chose ReachOut Plus as they are a locally based charity working with disabled and disadvantaged people. This is the type of cause we are particularly passionate about supporting."
The fundraiser currently runs in Guildford and Dartford, raising more than £30,000 for charity, and the organisers are hoping that the success will be repeated in Bricket Wood.
Runners can enter as individuals or as a team and the first place prize is a canal boat trip for 12 people.
Ron Overton, CEO of ReachOut Plus said: "We are very grateful that Kelly's Self Storage has chosen to support us.
"We have been established for over 30 years but want to continue to raise our profile in the area and this event will enable us to do that."
