Children from a Watford nursery will have a selection of new books to read, following the launch of a library at the premises.
On Tuesday afternoon, toddlers, parents and staff from Toad Hall Nursery in Hempstead Road, gathered together to see the 40 new titles available.
Annette Simmonds, nursery manager, said: “We’ve opened a library for the nursery to enhance the children’s communication skills. We have children at different learning stages and thought it would be a great idea for them to be able to borrow books freely, to improve their reading ability.
“Although we’ve only got 40 books to offer, we’re hoping to build upon this with further titles and CD books. It’s a great addition to the nursery and a welcome resource.”
