The Hospice of St Francis is on the hunt for men to show they are “Dame for a Laugh” by joining in a sponsored fancy dress jaunt.
Men willing to don a dress, high heels, wigs and handbags are needed for the event which will take place on April Fools Day this year.
The Hospice of St Francis, which cares for people suffering with terminal illness across Bovingdon, Chipperfield, Kings Langley and Abbots Langley among others, has organised the event in a bid to boost its coffers. As a charity, it relies on donations to help meet its £3.6 million a year running costs.
Participants will have to raise sponsorship to walk two and a half miles in female fancy dress, through the streets of Hemel Hempstead on April 1.
